I am currently trying to get the wipers working on one of my cars. Its a RHD car but I do not have a fully working original motor. I have 1 that's slow, 1 that doesn't park, a few that are LHD plus a new Honda motor that look to also be LHD. So, which route do I take? I would like them to park but could just use the LHD Honda motor and not use the park relay.

Tbh I’d strip the slow one down normally a good clean of the motor armature and as long as the brushes still have some life left in them the motor will live again.

I didn't realise that there was a LHD and RHD motor? I assumed that the linkage was different because the motors just spin.

The Honda motor spins the opposite way to the Datsun motor but that's ok. It's a bit more complicated than just swapping motors though.

John are your motors the same ie both 5 or 6 wire? If so can you make one good one out of the two?

On my blue car I had an early 5 wire motor with later intermittent column switch etc so that didn't function correctly.
