Use of Radiator transmission cooler as engine oil cooler?

Hi,

I noticed this 2 row all aluminium radiator on ebay.com and it also has a transmission cooler built in. Could the transmission oil cooler be used as an engine oil cooler instead?

I need a super efficient radiator anyway so could this work?

Thanks and Merry Christmas.

Thats looks quite good yes you could use the oil cooler for the engine as long as it flows engine, be interesting to see how well it works.

i dont think that you will get the flow of oil through the cooler quick enough. Auto trans oil pipes are smaller diameter than that required for engine oil.
Personally I would buy and fit a dedicated oil cooler. It will be far cheaper than an experiment that if it goes wrong could cost you your engine and then you still have to buy an oil cooler

Why load up your cooling system with the extra job of cooling your oil? It's not even a good idea for the transmission cooling...
Buy a dedicated oil cooler kit for the engine (you know who to call...)

As Mr F says!!!
Its a poor idea in the first place.
I have to say that looking at the pics it looks a very basic piece of kit.
It is cheap tho I suppose. depends how muxch it is to ship etc.
