Unidentified holes in footwell (240z)

Hi all

During the resto of my car I never really looked into a mystery, perfectly circular hole I have in both footwells. They are on the side next to the OEM kick board (which seem to have a cut out to accommodate them) but are in addition to the cable controlled cold air intake or the hole which leads into the inner wings.

The other side of the hole is the rear side of the wheel arch. It provides lovely cool air to your feet but would be pretty messy if in heavy rain 😂
As the car has a few modes from its racing days which we’ve kept to preserve the history I don’t know if these are stock holes (2 other car owners I’ve spoken to dont have them) or if they were mods.

Any help in identifying would be appreciated (phots taken from driver's footwell looking to the RHS of the accelerator is attached

The cowl drain joiner tube is specially-shaped and it is very difficult to make a piece of generic hose fit and do the job properly.

There are also specially-shaped grommets that sit in the side panel and allow the drain tubes to pass through. They have an angled inner shape. Hard to describe, and - again - using a generic grommet usually means the tubes don't seal to the body very well (making it a bit draughty, and occasionally a bit wet...).

Factory part number for the drain tube was 66430-E4100 (same part for both L and R sides) and I don't see a specific part number for the grommet, so I'm guessing that when you ordered a 66430-E4100 it came with the special grommet too.
