Trim rivets/fasteners

Working myself up to another order of parts from the US - interior trim focused
I can’t believe the cost of plastic rivets for the back light panel ($3.89 ea and need 6) and the general plastic rivets for the rest of the trim (of which I need 4 packs of 10 - total $48).
Is there a cheaper alternative? - I’m happy to pay for OEM/NOS parts but am trying to draw the line at interior trim rivets!
Help please
Thanks

I thought all the rivets were the same size?

When you say rear light panel, do you mean the exterior one or the interior one. I metal riveted my exterior one on but I understand they were plastic riveted on originally …

Hi, I believe the internal one needs to have plastic rivets which are smaller than the c40 required to fix all the other plastic trim

Yes, I think the rear light panel trim is a different size to the rest.
There are hundreds of different trim rivet types on ebay, measure the holes and see what you can find.

I have some of these for the rear light panels.
They are a little bit loose but depends how much paint is on the tailgate slam panel. If you need some I can sort you some out.

Thanks but I need a full set as I’ve got a full resto on my hands and trim has been off the car since the 80s so no rivets to work from.
Great to have dimensions so I can try and track down some alternatives on EBay, same goes for the standard rivets for the rest of the trim - thanks in advance

As far as I can tell the interior trim clips are of the attached dimensions

I suspect a 4mm push clip may work though I have not tried this as yet.
