Tidy looking early car.

With the price of classics already starting to drop over here, is that also being seen on the other side over the pond?

IMO its on the turn. Porsche prices are on the move and so are all the overpriced Mk1 escorts. Cars are not selling for the inflated prices any more.

The Porsche bubble is a strange one though, there's so many of them and everyone thinks their all going up 15% a year.

As for fords, first off, i'm not a fan in any way, there's so many ways to get a new mk1 on the road with a vin and a replacement shell. I'm not surprised buyers are wary, there was a report somewhere about the large amount of the mk1/2 escorts that aren't original chassis/vin combo's.

I have not seen a dip in prices on classics over here as of yet.

I think, and so do many of my buddies, that Zeds are similar to early Mustangs in the states when it comes to want and nostalgia.

I won't be worried about Zed prices until I see the early mustang market start to roll over and there are no signs of that. Given the numbers of nice original Zeds compared to early Mustangs (Ford made millions), I think the Zed market has years of appreciation in front of it.

As always, the factory original Zeds will command the highest prices as we have seen on BAT.

The Mopar market is on fire again here as are the early Camaro, early Mustang, C3 Corvette, and F1 trucks. The pre 1960 classics are falling off in prices as that crowd is dying off.

On the other hand, the millennials are driving up prices on Fox body Mustangs, Late 70's Trans Ams / Z28's and many others.

Our stock market is at all time highs as well so people are feeling pretty safe right now.

I've always fancied a mid 60's notchback. There's a guy in LA often sends me ones for sale and always tempted. Although the prices I see are gradually going up, they are still under-priced IMO.
