Sill plate screws + fixing positions

I'm sure someone has the answer to this little Sunday puzzler. What the correct screws for the alu door sill plates? I have a mix of two types - most are round headed silver cross-head. But I also have a couple of charcoal coloured screws with a chamfered trapezoid-shaped head - see pic

If I had just one of the latter I probably would have discounted it as an imposter, but there are a couple of them, so maybe that was OEM for 70/early 71 and the rest have departed company over the years? I haven't seen the type elsewhere on the car.

Part two of the puzzler is the number of fixings. The sill plates have three fixing holes along the top and three on the outward face. Meanwhile the rocker panel has three holes for the top attachment, but only a single centre fixing hole on the outer face. Seems odd - spec change?

Here's what I have in 2 out of 3 holes on the driver side. Can't do the passenger without knocking a hole in the wall!

Checked pics of several of my original early Zeds and they all have the silver dome phillips head screws.
