I THINK I may have been scammed when buying some Timberland boots from buytimberland.co.uk.

Not sure yet and I am currently communicationg with my bank and supplier.

Payment appears on my statement as NN IECPS TECHNOLOGY LTD. I have Googled them and have some concerns.

Has anybody else had a problem with either this Timberland site or the billing company?

Never used them to be honest, but a quick Google like you have yourself shows quite a lot of worrying stuff,

If you paid by credit card are you not covered by their insurance? I also use Mastercard and if stuff doesn't turn up I fill in a form and get a full refund.

Hope you get it sorted.

i think you might be right Rob,it all looks a bit dodgy:unsure: even if you do get the boots i think they might be fakes.marie was after some UGG boots and we had to be careful as there is a lot a fake sites selling them that are based in china and not australia as it should be.

Bugger you would have looked great in the pink pair !!!!

If you paid by your Credit Card you can get a full refund.

Update - now 100% sure this is a scam. Seller has responded to an email but it was in very poor English and asking me to query the amount (which was incorrect) with my bank - cheeky sods!

My bank have promised all my money back, but I have to wait 30 days. I have 'stopped' my card.

Dave the boots were for my lad (Birthday) you should know I wouldn't be buying myself 'designer' goods!

Moggy - bank says UGG scam is VERY common. Pandora jewellery is another.

Murt - 'serversiders' seems a useful site!

Lesson learnt - never ignore your gut feeling! I was steered to the site by my lad but I was a bit unsure when ordering, I'm normally Mr Careful, in fact I can be a pain in the arse. Personal circumstances last Sunday meant I was in a hurry - never buy when in a hurry (or go on ebay when you've had a shandy or two)!

Well, I think I was wrong! The boots arrived yesterday (from China), they are exactly as ordered and appear top quality. The box, packing, tie-on lables etc all LOOK genuine to me. I thought at first that being from China they would be fakes but apparantly that's where Timberland Boots are made. My other lad is a fashion guru and he reckons they are genuine (or a really good copy).

My bank said wait 30 days before claiming, good job I did.

I trust everyone me :D & have had 100's of very pleasant dealings with people from all over the world, if things don't feel right I don't bother. I was caught out once though for a large amount of cash by a yank who goes under the name of Z race products, avoid this person at all costs !!!

Not scammed!

I ordered two Pittsburgh Pirates jerseys on April 25 and received them on May 5. They were exactly what I ordered in the correct size. My account got hit for a few dollars more than the original confirmation but the Chinese Yuan is not a traded currency so I just chalked it up to a shift in the conversion rate. All in all I'm very happy with what I ordered and will probably order a hockey jersey or two this winter.

I've used them for some vintage Nike Air Jordan trainers. Took ages to get here (as they come by container ship) but they were very, very good copies (pretty much everything is a fake but it's so easy to come by all the same bits, probably from the original suppliers that the hooky versions are just as good as the originals). All you've got to worry about is your conscience...

Yeah right!

My Mrs used to work in China - she did more shopping there than when she's at home!!

Everytime she went to buy something the conversation went:

Mrs - " Are these real ... genuine... proper.....(insert brand name) "
Mr Chinese salesman " Ooooh yes - of course - Genuine Chinese copies "

My last pair of genuine chinese copy adidas trainers (off UK ebay) disinegrated within about 8 months - you get what you pay for.

The adidas versions (made in the same factory) would've lasted pretty much the same time. Indeed, you get what you pay for (just sometimes, you get cash left over for extras...).
