It is with a heavy heart and the deepest regret that I post this message to tell you that Michael “Spike” Anderson passed away peacefully at home in Competa, Spain with his love Clara by his side on Saturday evening.
He will be so missed by friends and family and all those who came to know him well.
A legend.

Al,

Thanks for letting us know this sad news. I would appreciate it if you could send my deepest condolences to Clara. I am sure that these wishes will be shared by everyone in the club.

Spike really did make a difference and his legacy will live on in all of the cars he worked over the years!

Regards

Many thanks Graham, I will do.
All the best.

RIP Spike, loved by many (and unloved by some) - you didn't leave people 'on the fence'. I'm glad that your last years were being loved, under the sunshine in the good life.

Very sad news, please pass my condolences to Clara .

I think you had to grow up in the 70s early 80s to appreciate Spikes achievement, no internet, probably trawling round scrap yards to make other parts fit.

Certainly, in the early days of the Club magazine, pages were dedicated to Samuri, the Classic Z register, made Spike an Honoury member, John Newlyn, Samuri chairman.

I'm sure Spike had a huge influence, on Z ownership, after seeing his cars race.

Even now at an obscure show, someone will want to talk about spike, remembering seeing the cars race.

RIP Spike.

I'm pleased I took the Samuri out yesterday.
