Prepping the car for paint

Ok Morbias , you have obviously researched this and whilst that's great I would like to offer the following....
First off you are going to get a 15 to 20 KVA input capacity to your house so don't worry about that with regards to your energy usage. Put it on your cooker circuit.
You can get a recon compressor which will chuck out more than enough to run your spraygun and mask and other things for about 300 quid and can be attached to the mains.
Direct air transfer is a compromise. It comes in waves rather than a direct stream.
For your application and short need of a compressor is either buy a second hand one or rent then sell.
You need a cfm value to make it work.

Not wanting to get into a forced air or activated charcoal respirator debate or being a know it all ****, but beware of charcys not having owner proper fitted/damaged seal to the face and also the time life of the filter being reduced even further depending on vapour concentration which can reduce it's effective life to just a couple of hours or less, isos give no smell warning when charcoal scrubbing is used up, no idea if the respirators come with these warnings nowadays. Only posting in case any uninformed saxo driving lad(biased i know) coming across this thread is planning a diy spray job and doesn't take care.I have my own methods, but????????.See if i can find 3m filter cartridge list.Any of the listed chemicals ending in diisocyanate(isocyanate) show the appropriate filter with a (poor warning)or similar.I'll ****** off now.
