I have this kit and can say it's awesome - if it fails you revert back to standard steering.

Its only failed on me once because alternator packed up on the way up to donington (good times).

I’ve fitted a few of the silvermine kits and the column bracket is definitely different on there 280z column to the 240z
they actual list two different columns .

When you order you have to select your year so they know what kit to send. My car is 1976 so from a US parts perspective it is generally classed as early 280z, the 240z column is definitely different mounting wise, either 2 or 4 bolts, i can't remember which is which though.
I bought one of these kits just after Christmas but haven't' fitted it yet!

70-73 is 4 bolt mounting and 74-78 is 2 bolt.

Is the column the same regardless of year of s30 or model if so can’t the mounting bracket be modified to suit ie only use 2 bolts for a late 260 ?
