Manifold Gasket

Hi, I wonder if anyone could advise which way round this manifold gasket should go?
Its made by Apex. One side has silvery edges. I'm tempted put that side towards the head. The other side has smoother rounded edges.

Ok, no need to reply - Apex finally got back to me:

Since the manifold gasket is symmetric, there is no difference for the which side to face up.
I would suggest you to put the face with soft perforation facing up.

Is that a metal/aluminium ? How long did it take to deliver ?
I have a fabric one but not sure I want to use it

It seems metal layer but composite material on the outside. Took less than a week to come from Rock Auto.
