Fitted mine today. Fired up immediately and driven 20 miles with no issues. Only slightly odd thing is the rev counter zeros out on gear change. Pus like DPT said, had to swop the mounting plate.

That’s great news! Well done fella. Would be interested to know how it behaves when you put some miles on. But it appears you’ve found a decent alternative to the usual choices.

As for the rev counter - are you in a 240 /260 or 280?

What year? There are important differences between the early and late ones.

OK, so yours is a little closer electrically to the 240s than the later 260s/280s.

With the later cars you can just drop in the electronic dizzy without any changes but the earlier cars need a resistor of sorts inserted into the pickup circuit.
