One plus is that the owner has taken the time to register it … a lot don’t.

To quote the auction house: a super rot-free restoration project, with only minor rust in the floors” - not rot-free then, is it!

No idea what it will go for …

A quick look at the photos tells a different story.
Bubbles on bottom of both front wings, both rear arches, RH dogleg.
The front of the bonnet is rotten as is the hatch slam panel.

Looks like holes in the floors not just rust . Lots of bits missing and broken. Tow bar fitted as well !!

Honest looking old Z, big costs on interior trim pieces to do the restore on it, rust spots pointed out on body are typical area's but do not look out of place and look like localized area's. Looks like it has been resprayed several times. Would go as far as to say that if those rust area's were bad you would see a larger area rusted. Imagine when you pull those doglegs off there will be surface rust to remediate. Floors do not look all that bad, however the tar sound dampening will hide quite a bit.
SAVE THOSE LICENSE PLATE FRAMES, they can go for big dollars and with the 714 area code come from San Diego. Lived in long beach in early 80's and active with the Z club, cannot say that I ever heard of that Z shop but like I said period correct license plate frames can go for big money!
Good luck to whoever picks that car up. Z Farm would be a good source for any patch panels of doing the bodywork.

I’d beg to differ, I’d say that’s the original paint bar a few (poor) obvious rattle can touch-ups. Strange how in the US there’s seemingly no market for private license numbers but there is for the period plate holders! That interior isn’t going to be cheap to restore as there’s so much prep work involved plus the parts … if it were me, unless you want to put the time and money into a resto because you enjoy it, then spend the extra and get a complete car …

Believe the disparity between the cost of personal plates is that in the States you just go to the tag office, if the plate you want is not out in service then it is yours, therefore there is no market like in the UK where you list the plate and sell it on. Not to say that someone might look up the owner (which would take a bit of work as this is not something a private person can just go and do unless you have a legitimate reason) and make an offer for them to give there plate up to the tag office so you can apply for it at the standard cost.
Good possibility that for the most part might be original paint, I was going by the observation of the paint on roof, back vents, and door where the paint looked awfully thick and on back where some of the paint had cracked and there was orange on the underside of the cracked topcoat.

Made an observation this morning while looking through Rockauto, there are no more headlight bulbs listed so would be careful and stock up on them if you can as that might be a part becoming hard to find. In the body section did find quite a few weather seals available at reasonable prices. Windshield gaskets, side window wipers, etc.
