Folks, this is a 'heads-up' to confirm that we will be attending Donington again next year on Saturday 4th of May.

Donington has been our main event for many years and attracts a good 'field' of our Z Cars.

We have decided to reduce the event to just the Saturday because that is when 90% of us attend and it will hopefully result in even more cars on the same day.

I think we should be able to give more awards for the Saturday - last year so many cars deserved an award.

So please put this date in your diary.

More information will follow when we know it.

My thoughts are that we will book the ZClub stand as usual for the weekend. We will erect our tent and enjoy a full day on Saturday. Depending on the weather forecast we will leave the tent erected. On Sunday members can come along and enjoy the day and racing however that will not be our focus so don't expect a big turnout or awards.

Thoroughly enjoyed the last two years, but next year I'll be in Detroit for my youngest son's wedding.

We now have booking information.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS YEAR WE ARE GOING TO FOCUS ON THE SATURDAY AND THAT WILL BE OUR MAIN EVENT HOWEVER WE WILL STILL HAVE THE 'ZCLUB' AREA FOR MEMBERS CARS FOR THOSE ATTENDING BOTH DAYS OR THOSE WHO CAN ONLY MAKE IT ON SUNDAY.

Saturday has always been our strongest day (usually 25-30 cars) and I'm hoping that we can get a few more there this year. With this in mind awards will be presented on Saturday and there will be more than our usual two.

CLUB DISPLAY VEHICLE AND TICKET BOOKING DEADLINE: 5pm Sunday 21 April 2024

Then login to your MSV account, or register and create an MSV account if you don’t already have one. This will then take you to the booking page for our club attending the event, with the club discount already applied. You will need to register your display vehicle account to your account, even if you previously had it registered with MSV, as their new system hasn’t carried vehicles over from previous years.



Select the day or days you wish to attend and follow the booking process. Two separate items will automatically be put into your basket:



  • A vehicle display pass (this is NOT your driver entry ticket, it is the parking pass for your car). This will be emailed to you two weeks before the Festival.
  • Your driver entry ticket – this is your ticket to enter the event, and will be sent to you immediately upon booking, using the delivery method you choose.


Please also remember to add tickets for any passengers as you go through the booking process. When you get to the checkout you should find that the full 50% club discount has been applied, even if the full price for passenger tickets appears at some point during the process.



Please note, there is no telephone booking facility, and the club discount is only available to those bringing a display vehicle (and their vehicle passengers).



Important:

If you change your display car between time of booking and the event, or wish to bring a different car on each day, your original parking pass will work, even though the car description and registration number might change. You do NOT need to request a replacement parking pass.

Saturday is Qualifying day.( Three options when booking, Qualifying Day, Race Day, Weekend )👍 Even tho there is racing all over the weekend, very clear - not.

Well I've seen that both days are qualifying and racing. It's usually Qualifying in the morning, Racing afternoon/evening.

I'm currently trying to find a detailed timetable to post-up.

Is it normal for MSV to want a photo of your car and to be able to use it to promote their events. I don't remember having to do it last time.
