I know quite a few of us like to be able to spot each other and don’t know the other members / attendees by name or face.

To help facilitate this, I’ve devised a short form to gather the information and will likely produce some form of name sticker / tag to wear.

I plan to produce a small A6 card for each car with the forum handle / name of the owner to display inside the windscreen if you think that’s a good idea.

I’ll gladly share the details in a private message to all going if you want the info ahead of time.

Guys - site info.

Basically I don't know the position of our 'pitch' yet but I have tried to 'steer' this.

Last year it seemed to work well so I requested the same place this year (with a map and photo). Late on Thursday afternoon I was told that we were allocated the Melbourne Loop which I wasn't happy with and stated so quite strongly. It is hidden away from the racing and other Clubs - it's the opposite side of the track and paddock to the main Club area. We were there a few years ago partly because we 'block-booked' a track parade and access to the track was good from there.

On Friday I had a reply saying that we are now back in the 'Infield' which is what I wanted - but where? Apparently the problem with our booking was that there was a big difference between the number of our cars attending Sat - Sun. However from what I've seen over recent years other Clubs are the same, the main day is Saturday.

So I don't know exactly where we are yet but we won't have good grounds (pun?) to complain again. I'm sure we'll be off grass because it's been so wet here for weeks and rained a LOT here today (I live about 30 mins away). Apparently the siting of Clubs has been a difficult task.

I have just been watching the BTCC day from Donny and the grass looks very soggy & muddy. I can't see how they will put anyone on grass otherwise the organisers will be very busy towing people out.
