Chrome windscreen trim - when to install

I’m about to install my windscreen, when does the chrome trim go in?
The Wick Humble restoration guide suggests after installation of the glass but I’m thinking I’ve seen threads that suggest otherwise.

PS if anyone has some undamaged pieces drop me a PM, I’d be really grateful!

Mine went in as follows:

Rubber around the window
Crome in the rubber
Then into the car

Mine too. I've done putting the chrome in the rubber after it's all fitted to the car and it was a Complete PITA.

Is this true for the rear windows as well? I have a missing corner of chrome trim to fit at some point.

That's how my rear screen was done too, but I don't know how hard it is to get those pieces in after. Probably some heat on the rubber and washing up liquid or alike to ease it in would help.

I put the chrome in afterwards, I just find it easier to fit like that.

Quick update, bit of a struggle but managed to get chrome inserts in ok today after screen fitted......................Hoorah !
