280 Zx Alternator 240 Z CONVERTOR WANTED

Hi All Can Anyone Help Need An WIRING Adaptor So I Can Fit A 280 Zx Alternator To My 240 Z .does Anyone Know Where I Can Purchase One ,thanks . Phil

hi phil what adaptor are you asking for. I thought the 280 alt would phsyically fit straight on with just a small wiring fix. ben

Sorry Did Not Explain Well .yes It Is The Wiring Adaptor I Need .some One A Few Months Ago Had Some Special Leads Made Up For This Conversion .but I Dont Know Who It Was ,now I Need One And I And Was Hoping Someone Could Tell Me Where They Came From .phil

Hi Phil, Nigel Brook had a batch imported a few months ago, I had three which I have used two and only last week Nigel had one left which I had as well so it looks like Ive cornered the market in them. Its a nice bit of kit its a wiring plug with a resistor or something in it and its smoothed over so there are no wires showing, looks very neat. If you want one I will let you have it for the same price Nigel sold it to me for. Send me a PM if you are interested. Adrian

It be a diode, available from Maplins etc (IN5401 etc) to stop the alternator current back feeding and preventing the engine from being turned off....very embarrasing

I have a diagram and some old spare plugs if anyone wants to make a couple up .. piece of .... cake, or you could go buy them, wheres the fun in that.
