try a few, more spark means loss of conductivity, youd be surprised at what an ingition module does. even set a rev limit so you dont have to change as many head gaskets. lol
no synthetic can compare to pure refined.
Penn grade 1 oil is the best oil you could buy. Its green in color and high in zinc and phosphates with many applications. it will possibly even gain you a few hp. i dont think it is good for cat's but, they have oil to suit your needs
Turns out my cork spacer had a crack in it. Also perhaps leftover gas/ethanol from Shell fuels gumming up bits and pieces. These carbs love to be clean and love new gaskets.
idles well, a little more tuning, but for the most part, runs good.
the poor mans way is to loosen the jet and replace the piston, then remove and tighten back up. For the hope to get "close' as possible for stock setting.
stage 3 port big valves, big cam custom pistons, kinda wonder if i want to turbo, found a t3t4 airesearch for $40 and a complete intake manifold for $100, but i dont know
Just a bit of info, penn grade 1 oil is suitable for high performance needs refined from 100% pennsylvania crude, high in zinc to control wear. it even gains you a few hp, go and try it.
Alright, im going to do a write up since i dont see very good tutorials. This is gritty, i assure you, however it beats reading nonsense and dead ends. I hope this finds anyone who takes the time to read, great satisfaction for their skinners union carbs
Stock settings first! 3 screw round...
im not sure what you need? however, I have 4 screw su carbies, if thats the emuslion tube you need? i could sell the carbs for really cheap without floats or spacers.
Deleted emmissions with pcv. I also connected the anti backfire nipples with a hose.
some are saying 24mm for proper float adjustment, where as chilton says 27mm. Both of the floats should hit the float cover when inverted right? Then, with the jet open, the metal tab touching the pin, the...
The stereo is in the car now. the green light turns on. how do you even hook up speakers to this alien like stero lol. :lol:and my antenna supposedly works too. that'd be nice to see that little thing extend its heart out. i know that these stereos are wired completley different than modern...
check your alternator first, then voltage regulator, if thats not the gremlin youll have to track the transistor or resistor that is bad. I believe somewhere there is an alternator mod for more amps.
for sure what MR.F wrote. or just worn needles or floats, try 2 tractor fuel filters just before the bowls. Also certain petrol contains ethanol, gumming up brass which your fine carb parts are made of! lol.
I have rebuilt these things countless times, experiencing all the juju from, sinking floats, stuck dome pistons, light and heavy damper fluid, choke adjustments, backfires both ways, smoke, worn needles, debris, uneven floats, un-centered jet, and man i just want to blow these carbs up :conf2...
