interesting, nice to see another mk2 turbo going back on the road,i take the pre facelift is being worked over to make it mint again,i bet your front and rear spoilers are suffering from rotting through by now, mine were terrible and fit for the bin when they come off

Nice. Looking forward to seeing the progress on that one. It reminds me of Inqui-Z-tor's car...

yes, currently just getting some rot cut out the sills at the front, and a small patch on one of the rear floor pans under the bench seat, then hopefully a full re-spray, its going to be a longer project than first thought as work commitments and lack of time means i can only get the odd weekend on it, currently the engine is out as i'd like to do as good a restoration as finances allow, so I'm planning to sort some untidy wiring in the bay and do brake pipes etc after the bay is painted. planning on going 2 tone body, dark metallic grey bottom half with the original blue from the coach line up,will try get some more photo's of its current "state" soon :D

yes definitely, the rear spoiler has seen some better days, considering trying to adapt a "ducktail" spoiler similar to the likes of a 240/280z to fit the look, front spoiler isn't too bad, but had thought about a kaminari replica to slightly change the look

in the states you can find fibreglass rear spoilers of the original type, the original front spoiler saying turbo is unobtainable so keep it safe, i know where there is a brand new one now,its £585!!!!!!,i have the kaminari one fitted to mine,of note is the fact that once this is fitted the towing hook is covered so i had to do some welding to the unboltable hook so i could fit a modern screw in towing eye, which goes through the drivers side lower duct

ah ok, thanks for the heads up!, ill keep that in mind, i wasn't planning on throwing any of it away, even with the rear spoiler being in such poor shape underneath i haven't quite got round to actually throwing it in the bin!........hoarding was always an issue for me:D
