Actually the Marlin was quite a popular Kit Car. I think fitting a Datsun engine was rare.

That looks a very nice build as the ad states. Not seen one with a straight six before - it's usually just a four cylinder, evidenced by the furthermost intake on the front Weber being shorter!

I never noticed that - otherwise i though the motor looks pretty good in there

I think thats the angle the pics at against the angle of the engine bay?

I just had a browse a their website - current model recommendations are based on BMW engines - Any 6 cly inline E39 5 series / E36 can be used (Mainly 1998-2003- Max Power near 450 hp/ton - max speed 150+).

I remember a lot of Dads building cars as a kid ( Mini Marcos / Mini based Magenta / Cobra replica) but personally dont know anyone now.

you're right, I read it as the manifold. This must be a very old kit as the newner(2008 ish) were bmw e36 donor based.
