Had a search to find the previous thread on this subject without success.
Anyway, there are two drain holes in the boottom ledge of the screen aperture whose only purpose seems to me, is to allow water to collect in each corner of the aperture. These drain holes are also above the dash mounting holes which are in turn above the top of the dash, so in theory could allow water ingress.
