Will radio still install in this broken console?

I've got a centre console but someone has hacked up the bit around the radio.. does anyone know if this will matter - i.e. if I want to install a Retrosound head unit or the like later, will it still install ok despite the missing plastic?

Will the broken/cut bits be visible? I've seen 3rd party fascias to make the head units look more OEM.. maybe those would cover up these bits?

My console is like that and I did have a retrosound 1 head unit and it fitted fine. the headunit is supported by brackets on the side, and has a cut to fit plate on the front.
so I think you'll be fine.
