with the price of petrol nowadays stick a daihatsu core 3 cylinder 1.0 OHC engine in it .i bought one for sale and it went like shit off a shovel and was economical 60mpg!! LOL .

if i had 10 K to spend on my car all over again I quite simply wouldnt bother with the stock engine. Its not versatile, its not easy to work on, its even less versatile to tune and its tempramental.

either skyline of smc. It will cost more in getting it done, but it will save you a bundle in the long run on main and running

I wouldn't know where to begin. The idea of a RB26 is always attractive, but I would be tempted with the V8 route for sheer grunt and noise. If I had the money I would try and do something different though and go for TVR engine instead. Plus you also have a variety of sizes to choose from depending on what you are trying to achieve. The 3.9L is a good starting point and they sem to be fairly indestructable.
