Where are all the older posts

Just wondered why forum posts only seem to go back 3 or 4 yrs, obviously its been online much longer than that.
Did we lose an archive/database at some point?

2 ways
either open a section of the forum
general or/anything & everything or video clips etc etc
scroll to bottom to
Display options
and alter the "From the " box to "the biginning" and it will show all
or
click on Forum at the top of the home page
scroll to the bottom
and there is an "archive" button on the right hand side

Not sure if its the same here but on another forum the easy way to find archived material is to do a google search.
