Whats your favourite car to drive? What brings back the fondest memories?

I've not had that many car to chose from and only a few that I actually enjoyed. My first ever car was a 1964 mini with cooper brakes and cooper S engine. Followed by a SWB beach buggy that I kept and enjoyed for over 20 years. For several of these years it was my only car so used every day with no heater, come rain, snow, and shine. Always used with the roof off. Load of great times in that one. Then it was joined by a 240z with fourways engine and never ending rust. Although I enjoyed the car, the pain of fighting the never ending rust just wore me down and it had to go. NEVER BUY A RUSTY ZED! Several boring and company cars latter and the blue car came along so things started to get better and better as the car has evolved. This has to be my ultimate car and I always get a massive buzz when I drive it. I can't think of any car coming even close to it.

My first AW11 MK1 MR2 brings back the fondest memories. Going out for midnight blasts with my mates at Uni. First proper car and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it.
Then my Skyline R32 GTR which I had when I was 22. It was mental. Which is why I crashed it after 3 months:thumbs:

A few spring to mind, my first fast car will always have a place in my heart. Series 1 rs turbo, 23 years ago now, felt like a rocket (with an estimated 170 horsepower) and torque steered like a tw@t
In recent years it’d be a toss up between my evo 8, and Skyline R32 gtr. The evo was quicker, just over 460 bhp and was pretty lairy, but the Skyline felt like you were driving something a little special. Had equal length down pipes and tomei 4” titanium system, deffo the best sounding car I’ve owned by a long shot

Sorry that is my fault, did not describe it accurately. I went to search on Escortina and looked for images of the car.
Ah! Now I understand. Sadly my Filipina wife won't permit pictures....

Back to cars, one I missed from my list - Citroen 2CV, driven everywhere flat out with impunity

I've had a few that I remember fondly, a Mk1 Scirocco (my first car) which I ended up crashing into the back of a Volvo 343 at a roundabout after hitting ice.
The impact completely demolished the front of the VW but only bent the tailpipe of the Volvo!
After that I managed to find a '77 Lancia Montecarlo with Series 2 buttresses and Cromodora wheels which was fantastic to drive apart from the savage brakes. Unfortunately it was already starting to succumb to rust issues despite only being around 11 years old.
There were a few others along the way including a VW Corrado (the first car I modified), DC2 Integra Type R (my first Japanese car) but I can't see past my R34 GTR.
For sheer grunt and grip it takes some beating. It's by no means a pretty car like an S30 but it certainly has presence.

Thus far, got to be my Datsun Pa10. Why ? ..

It's boxy, not pretentious and many would say just a mundane saloon. However with 230 BHP\Ton courtesy of a CA18DET, upgraded suspension, brakes and LSD, it's a hoot to drive.

It's not mint by any stretch of imagination, hence I tend it drive it hard given the opportunity and use it all year round. And majority of fellow road users are left guessing what it is , especially the boy racers:D
