Whats it worth?

Hello to all.
I have owned my 260Z 2+2 for nearly 8 years now. About 6 years ago I started to restore it, the usual bodywork needed doing so I striped it down to a rolling shell and sent it to my local bodywork specialist.
About 2 years later I got it back, by which time real life had taken over and I no longer had the time, money or space to complete the restoration.

Is any of this sounding familliar to anyone?

So, to cut a long story short, the car is still a rolling shell which is half finished. It has benefited from many new panels, inner wings, air tubes, sills, chassis rails, radiator panel and crossmember etc. I also have most of the panels to complete the car.

My question is this really. How much is all this worth?

How are the repairs after nearly 4 years of standing still - naked to the air ? Is the car complete ? How are the mechanics and weather seals, bumpers, interior trim etc ? What year is the car, early or late version ?

The car is a 1976 260Z 2+2,
The repairs were primered and undersealed. Under the bonnet was finished with the final coat. The engine was standard with the usual carburettor problems. The seats and door cards were good but the carpets were not too good. I think the bumpers were good. I had fitted new shocks, some of the bushes and ball joints. The steering rack was a reconditioned item. There are some photos availible in the ''My Gallery'' section.

its probably not worth that, dont mean to sound rude,2-2 plus sunroof, best do it up and enjoy it,you wont be dissapointed allthough the 2-2 are not as desirable they can still go for more than a 240z or a 2 seater 260z

My Apologies. Went a bit mad at work the last few days. Thankyou for your advice.

Well I won't lie. £500 is a tad dissapointing. I know how much these panels cost! Is there anyone out there looking for a donor car or restoration project with nearly all the difficult bodywork done?

We all do. But they are now s/h and welded into what most people see as a not very desirable or valuable car.
The sad truth is you have destroyed the value of these panels by having them welded into the car.
On their own in new or NOS condition they would have sold easily at good money.
All of course IMHO.
