Getting a lot straighter now, had another day today dry fitting the wings and getting all the lines right so I can fit the door frames latches and strikers, a bit time consuming and headache tablets required although quite rewarding at the end of the day, plan is to send the shell in with the wings attached for painting, had a chat with the body shop and he wants me to paint the areas of the body and the wings where the wings bolt onto seems like a good idea to me

Seems to be coming together well, hope you're pleased. I know I've said it before but I do think the GAZ setup is the best option unless you're spending 3k+. What spring rates did you go for as I know the m3 is a heavy lump(more so than the standard one), are you using the 6 speed box?

Agreed Franky as I have chased cars equipped with Gaz and are good people to deal with and for a bit over a grand all done is affordable with a vast improvement, as for spring rates bit of a mine field trawled the net and all that and after discussing with Gaz opted for 350 fronts (heavy engine) and 300 rears and yes keeping the 6 speed :D also thought about the clutch and come to the conclusion that due to half a ton or so weight loss will just use the standard LUK clutch but with the restrictor removed from the hydraulic line

UPDATE TIME....... NOT A LOT BUT SPRING 2014 IS GETTING NEAR JUST A FRONT SPOILER AND SOME BODYWORK DIDN'T WANT TO DO THE BODYWORK MYSELF BUT MOST BODYSHOPS DON'T REALLY SEEM INTERESTED AT ANY COST, SEEMS AS THOUGH THERE'S MORE CASH IN INSURANCE WORK AND EASIER, PICS TO ENJOY.... FOUND A GOOD USE OF A ROVER 75 PART......... THE REAR NUMBER PLATE MAKES A GREAT FILLER SPREADER

It must be so good to be able to adjust the suspension geometry.

Not many Datsun bits (manufactured in the early 70s) are left on your car now apart from the 'tub' and modified rad panel

My suspension parts looked like that once. I've made them look like ****** old Datsun bits to please the purists. Another year of driving down that road to your workshop and the transformation will be complete :)
