What did you do to your Z this week?

Is that a thing? anyone else think that's how it works?
Well it makes sense that way, the handbrake wouldn't set to the new position that you set with the foot brake? That might be why the handbrake cable then elongates over time due to the tension?

I've done an overhaul on my rear brakes. New wheel cylinders, shoes and fitting kit. The handbrake seems spot on again now.
I also think I figured out why the auto-adjustment never seemed to work for me. You have to have your foot on the brake when you put the handbrake on or the adjuster can't move the wheel.

The only time you should be pulling the handbrake without being already 'on the brakes' is a handbrake turn surely?! . . . . . Naughty Boy! 😁

blowing the seal just makes it leak hydraulic fluid doesn't it? you wouldn't expect any damage elsewhere surely?

your exactly right but what caused the seal to blow i think was running over a large rock or something going down the motorway :banghead:
to be honest i think the racks ok so am goin to put it back and hope for the best and at the very least get the tracking checked

I actually got round to fitting my clutch slave boot after over a year. I did it whilst my car was on the ramps.

I also FINALLY got the "correct" exhaust part from Z Story for my 2/2 after delays, broken promises and poor communication re delivery etc. (please note this if you buy anything from z story, and I'm not alone in getting delays and incorrect parts, but the quality is excellent). However I'm pleased to say it now goes together. I will be using assembly paste this week and then it should be back on the road ready for May.

Took the Zed to the Bicester Scramble on Sat 23rd. Longest run in the Zed for ages, about 100 mile round trip. First time there, really enjoyed it! Of course forgot to get a pic of my own motor!

Been out twice this week in Audrey. Apart from a bit of exhaust boom at 2k rpm ish, it sounds great with the Z story system. Lovely day today so took it up to the Atwell Wilson Motor Museum in Calne, Wilts for my volunteering day today (pic is at the museum) and took it last night to the Wilts V-dub club in Sleight as my T5 van is currently full of paving slabs!

Put some fresh fuel in (and topped up my spare fuel can with Esso Supreme 99+) ! ran lovely today, and did a detour of an additional 5 miles on the way home to avoid traffic and enjoy the drive. It's certainly going well now and indicators working! Looking forward to a few shows this year!
