Now in Cape Cod, MA, and my orders so far all accounted for...

The new valance corner repros are excellent quality. Really good:

The dogleg repair (Tabco) is crappy but I needed it for the upper part, which will get combined with Andy’s (APS) superior version.

Also got a couple of sets of N42 intake valve seats (difficult to find anyone selling these off the shelf - these came from Z Car Source):

These are for one or both of the L20 E30 heads I have for upgrading to N42 size intakes.

More orders to do in the next day or so...

Replaced leaking rocker cover gasket with a Blue Print one from ebay (£7.53 delivered), it fitted pretty well. The thin one on there was pissing oil. New gasket is the thicker cork-like material, so hope it will do the trick. Was going to add a bit of sealant, but the stuff I had had gone solid, so I just cleaned it up and torqued it to spec. Off a run this evening so will see how it goes...

What diff do you currently have? I thought you were already running a low ratio subaru diff

Currently running a 4.11 , I'm jesting really but could of gone quicker with a 4.44 I reckon, but the drive there and back wouldn't of been as nice ,

A guy I was taking to with a mk1 Mexico was also was running a 4.1 and was really quick but he was running 13's with 185's so that would explain why

Home now with jet lag and a nice haul of parts avoiding shipping and customs charges. However, deal of the year was actually off eBay UK. While still in the US, I was looking at Centerforce clutches available over there, comparing prices and shipping rates. I happened to spot a Dual Friction version in the “recommended” bar that was in the U.K. No car model listed, just the Centerforce part number. I had to google search to check it was an L-series clutch. Which it was. New too (well, unused new old stock at least). Which made the price unbelievable. These are £350 clutches. I scored it (from a seller who clearly didn’t know what they had) for £40.95 and 7 quid postage!

Arrived yesterday, original box, all paperwork, etc.
Yay!

And today, new toy arrived...

Looks like a retro 50s sci-fi ray gun!

A spot welder for dent pulling. One of Dixie’s door shells was bent around the door handle and needs pulling in addition to hammer and dolly work. Also, this should be useful for a few other minor dings on the wings and shell.

Given all the tools and capabilities I’m adding to my collection and repertoire, I find myself thinking there may be further profit-oriented projects post-Dixie...
