What did you do to your Z this week?

Thank you - though the Rover was a fast, powerful car that was extremely comfortable!
The Volvo ticks all the classic car boxes for me - and (though you may laugh in disbelief) I intend to keep this one!
I had to look long and hard to find one and there are very few around now.
It is a 1968, four speed manual with overdrive and I have already covered nearly 5,000 miles in it during the five months I have owned it!
It is nothing like as quick as the Z - but this car is more about style than speed. And I still have my GT86 if I fancy flying around!
Personally I don't like the ES (that's the estate) version. To me it is the beautiful curves, lines and fins that make this car - and that is largely lost on the estate which is why they fetch less than half the money.
Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of it for those who are interested.
By the way, delighted that Tim is looking after my 260Z so well - it looked fantastic and is a real credit to him.View attachment 30595 View attachment 30596

I really do love this, it seems to be a car that is greatly under appreciated and sails under the radar. Looks like you've found a very nice one, very envious!

Fitted the diff and got the s14 box and 2.8 engine ready to go in this afternoon. Modified the gearbox crossmember for the s14 box and offered it up the car only to realise I'd modified a late crossmember and the silver car is an early shell...……… plonker!!!

Anyone got a spare early gearbox cross member for sale?

Not so much what I was doing with my Z but today but I visited an excellent car collection near Bugibba, Malta and noticed these two nice examples being prepared, presumably for the collection. both LHD but looks like one might be being converted to RHD.

Anyway, nice to see some more Z's being restored. :S30: :coolgleam:

I was there at the beginning of the year.
It doesn't look like much from the outside but some very nice vehicles inside.

There are some very nice vintage vehicles and very well restored or preserved. I don't know too much about Alpha's but though this Sprint Special was stunning! 3.jpg

Hope it all gets sorted quickly at the paintshop and you can get it back to get on with the rebuild. Got all the parts bagged and tagged and waiting in the spare room?

All those disassembly pics will now come in useful ...

Be nice to see ALL the 918s about all together! Perhaps there should be a 918 club within the Z club!
