stage 1 complete on my 240. It runs drives and stops.
I have to decide which car to take to Le Mans. 🤔

Jon, that is a big 'plus'. To have a car that runs, moves and stops is a lot more than many members can claim. You approach a car 'resto' from the 'basics' perspective rather than the bling 'perspective'. Both commendable if the car gets on the road.

It's out of necessity Rob - I don't have the room for it to not be mobile during it's rehabilitation.

My recollection is that no-one said they were bad engines, just that Rebello were a little optimistic with the quoted HP. Bearing in mind this is the engine that Rebello sell as 365 HP, seems justified.
I concurred then and do now. But pages of posts later, and at least one member banned, stemming from me not using the "preferred " engine builder and justifying why I went with Rebello (and others engines) whilst fending off cr4p was a little more than an optimistic hp projection. Rebello make perfectly good power, but not from that thread. Have another read...

Just justified to see Paul's engine doing (& happy for him) what my engine makes and I said all along.

Yeah well put young man and there is more power if I want it so yeah Rebello do talk sense but I chose to keep the rev limiter set at wot it is

I'd love to say it was intentional but my garage just has terrible lighting!

I might take a better picture later where the car isn't covered in tools

Can we see the graph please? Good power for both cars.
The Lotus had an engine rebuild which included a new head a and racing block it had power steering fitted 5 speed Siera box uprated brakes suspension and a few other truck,Prime excample in how to devalue wot some would say a true classic as the valuation was a bit below expectations ,now the clutch has gone thanks to Burton supplying a to heavy duty clutch,Exe are sorting that out they do some good stuff ,lots of the scoobies have their clutches fitted,U trailered it up to Wolverhampton for new roof lining and new carpets to be fitted which was a pucker job hence my post on here for the tunnel carpet from a 260 that no body wants so I can use as a pattern as they had a perfect match for the late 260z carpet, just waiting for the graph to be sent over Rob from the DJ engine so you can compare the two
