What did you do to your Z this week?

I treated mine to an electric PAS column from Silver Mine in the US. It got a bit expensive including duties but hey. It looks like a good quality kit. I’ll fit it in the Spring after the Techno Toy stuff arrives.

And a Carcoon which I put up yesterday. I was going to wait to erect it until I built a new garage but I don’t want any condensation issues causing problems. It’s as snug as a bug in a rug now. It’s the Medium Veloce model. Very happy with it.

What techno Toy bits are you getting?

I’ve ordered their front Full Evolved coilovers, GTX2 lower control arms, top mounts, front hubs, track rod ends, steering knuckles, steering coupling, roll centre adjusters and a 300mm brake kit. I’ll be removing the existing PAS setup and fitting a standard rack with the electric column. I’ll repaint and sort out the engine crossmember and ARB whilst I’m at it.

I’m hoping to get my sons 280 on the road for the early spring for him, then I can get this bit of front end work done on mine and make it to some summer shows. Then I’m planning on taking it off the road next autumn to do something similar with the rear end.

Be great to hear about the suspension set up in due course. Bought UK 240Z summer as pretty much a full resto but came with the full Techno Tuning and Wilwood big brake set up ….. but nowhere near road ready yet to try it all out

Nothing, as it's been sitting in my mate's mum's garage since August 7 ... I drove it over there fine and it then refused to even turn over. So we pushed it in and there it sits ...
Having an extension done on the house and the space in my garage is occupied by lots of stuff for the next month (again).
Not sure on what is causing the starter not to turn ... maybe a fuse? Battery is fine of course. Fusable link is still good ...

I’ve not done anything with it for another month …

Nothing too exciting, but it all counts,
My Christmas presents from my darling wife arrived from Japan today (she doesn’t really know what she bought, just get something you want, so I did.)
Carbon fibre instrument surround, new steering wheel & a front strut brace
Happy now
