I bought another 280Z today after one of my friends in Limassol sent me a mail saying he had just picked up something I might like and gave me first refusal.
I bought my last 280Z and 240K GT off him too.
It looks to be in very good shape although I'm not crazy about the colour (a Lambo Orange), as it has a pearl through it, so I will possibly do a colour change in the future.
It is also running off a Link ECU and is fitted with a 5-speed.
There are a few bits to sort out straight away such as the extra mirrors, lights, badges (the PO fitted 280zx items), etc. but i'm not to fussed as it only cost me a shade under 13k GBP and the steering wheel is on the correct side for me now.

Have completed a little more prep on the chassis rails etc. Taken to bare metal (no rust found)

Raptor throughout the rails and lower engine bay. These will be painted when complete.

Also now all wheel arches completed in Raptor.

This is just to offer increased protection from stone chips etc.

Not a lot except going through my parts bins and fixing up the best of the used bits. This week a rear brake caliper off a 79 280ZX. Tried Ali’s magic lemon trick to revive it, works a treat!

Lemons to the rescue, nice fruity bath over night

As seams to be typical, sunny all day then heavy rain just before the track session yesterday evening at brands hatch. Tiptoed around regardless and after a couple of hour conditions improved. So in the end it turned into a great opportunity to use the car close to its limits. The car performed very well and got the chance to improve the mapping at high loads. I do need to think about improving the rear brakes to help the fronts out a little. Here's a vid for your entertainment. I seamed to have lost concentration as the evening went on and although i was enjoying myself, my lines were not great. Cant wait to improve on the next session.

I enjoyed watching that! It was an interesting mix of cars on track too.

they look well in there. How high are they compared to std seats?

I think they’re about the same height but the seat lays back a bit more.

I’d like it lower as it’s tight for my nipper who’s 6.4”.

But I had to raise the seat 20mm on blocks off the sliders to clear the slide mechanism. Not ideal and would like an alternative slider
