Socially distanced meet with pals and a wee drive over the ski roads. Haven’t seen my car since Christmas time!!!

One of them was missing a hinge when I bought it, and I seen it done on another car so thought I’d steal the idea

Put a new battery on it then drove over to Jonny M ready to put the Rebello 3.2 motor in
First time it’s been started since October and it was bloody great driving it again even though the manifold was blowing like a goodun but got one of that French blokes exhausts going on and a few other bits ie track rod ends,ball joints ect ect

Nothing of note to the Z apart from more cleaning up but I did take the time to fit this TV in the garage so I can actually have the Youtube ‘How to’ playing while I’m attempting the job in hand!
First time I've ever heard of one being used!

Sorted some small jobs:
Got the cigarette lighter working.
Fitted a USB charger in the old switch blank that used to house a toggle switch.
Fixed the charge light in the voltmeter, dodgy spring where the bulb fits.
Got both horns working, wiring needed sorting and tidying.

Surprisingly held my own on the swooping A roads, sight lines are good. Can use so much more of the road in a narrow car, it’s a real leveller. Tighter stuff I had no hope l. Continues to surprise me how well and enjoyable it is to drive.

My red Z's been in its Carcoon 25 mins from home since October. Might come out for Oulton Park Gold Cup, but that will be it this year in all likelihood. Need to get Dixie far enough along to be able to get both in my garage at once!
