What did you do to your Z this week?

Makes my 30x20 foot garage look tiny.

Having found my luggage straps under the spare wheel I gave them a good clean and hoovered out the wheel well and boot area. Also cleaned up the tool bag which was looking a bit grubby.
Then I polished the spare Motolita wheel I sewed new leather onto last night. Now looks much better and will replace the bent one in the 260Z until I get the standard wheel sorted.

The Jag and the Boxster will be going in soon.
The barn is the same length behind where I took the first photo from. The remains of my 2 280zx breakers are in the other end along with the leftover materials from the house extension 5 years ago.
Exactly where the 280Z is in the photo is where my 2 post lift is going.
Looking a lot more sorted than the last time I was in there! Think that was when that rotting hulk of a Janspeed 240Z was still there though as I plundered it for parts!

This week, I finally drove 280Z No 1 for the first time in almost two and a half years.
I didn't go too far or fast as I only had two bolts in each half shaft flange and I need to adjust the timing a bit.
She's running not too bad and sounds fantastic.
The EZ EFI has made a huge difference to starting, which is almost instantaneous.
I still have a bit to do to finish her, including tidying up the EZ EFI wiring and fabricating an intake.

Absolutely nothing - although I walked past it in the garage several times.

That colour looks fantastic Mark. A guy I know who rebuilds Mustangs had a '70 in his garage in which he had put theFAST EZ EFI system in - it started on the button and ran great (much like yours I imagine).

Put it back together so hopefully I can drive it next week, plus bought some bits off eBay, always got to keep your eyes open.

Thanks guys

Like dating profiles - the pics are flattering and it still needs a bit of fettling .

The reg is a bit misleading from those . There are two digits missing . I considered selling it - and had a few enquiries through contacts. A foreign guy got in touch and might as well of asked for my PIN no.

I held back on some info. - (as in those pics) in case it ended up dodgy - or on a fake eBay auction.

Bought another car so back to the problem of colour choice again. Car was originally orange so that’s the obvious choice but I do fancy safari gold this time. Been lining up so bodyshops so the car can go straight to paint this time. This one may actually be a keeper.

So I got word that the engine and gearbox I ordered from the States has made it's way to Ron Fentons shipping container place. Cant wait to get this through and into the UK.

In the meantime I ordered an intake manifold, fuel rail and throttle body for the RB, absolute thing of beauty! Gets rid of that nasty old crossover intake pipe!

I also got a snap of the Z when I was back in the UK on the rare occasion that I got to drive it. Makes me smile every time!
