all the reviews are very very positive.

Yes - so I see .

Have you test driven one ? Genuinely interested .

I have a Nissan Navara Deranged on lease which is due to exchnage next year. As much as I love a pick up ( and a Nissan) I'm being asked to look at alternatives ....

I’m intrigued by the Polestar now.

What are they like to drive?

I ordered in June before the reviews!! It’s 0% bik. That was the reason I went for it, the fact it’s got great reviews is a bonus!

I can’t stand the build quality of Tesla’s and their lack of attention to detail so it was the only choice

How does the polestar work with charging points? I was under the impression there wasn’t a standard out there yet so not all electric cars can use all charging points.

Really really lovely car there Franky! [emoji106]

There is a standard, just differing ‘power’

So does that mean your plug or theirs will fit your charging port? Just different speeds of charging? I have heard the Tesla ones are too powerful for other cars but I hadn’t realised there was a standard shaped plug thing. [emoji848]

I saw a TV programme once that was testing the practicality of electric cars. Some of the charging points were not compatible physically I'm sure. The presenter had to back-track on his journey to get to the nearest compatible charging point.

All physically compatible now

On my Outlander I had 2 ports, one was a slow charge (for home charge point or via 3 pin plug cable) and the other a fast charge (a la service station cable). Was advised not to use the fast charge too often as it would knacker the battery fairly quickly.

I've been thinking about this exact question and I think I've settled on a MK1 Audi TT, the 225 bhp Quattro has a pretty bomb proof engine, it's a design classic and it's already started to appreciate. The limited edition sport version is the one to get, but it's already quite pricey.

A friend of mine has a 3.2V6 version and that’s quite a motor.

Ooh I like the TT idea - A LOT of car for the money - lots around for £1800 but reducing the mileage and a search near you Franky comes up with lots of options ....

The 3.2 is the same as the one in my A4 and it makes a glorious sound! But does tent to make the TT nose heavy.

Then of course there is this ...

I just found a great car on Auto Trader:

Scooby all the way,get a blob with the 2 litre engine, crap on petrol, handle as if on rails,155 mph car straight out of the crate, rare as rocking horse poo and it has to be blue -gold wheels, bit of an icon now days, how often do you see them this last two years, people are breaking them up or smashing them up just don’t see em anymore,I’ve got two , ones a jdm which has the stronger 2 litre engine, the Audi TT is the most common second hand car you’ll see for sale good car but everyone’s got one ,The z 3 as mentioned is worth a look even the Z 4 which is a very capable car but it’s not the M so not worth no where near as much but still worth a look and it’s quick
