Weird brake issue

So, I began noticing a odd feeling when I was braking, the second I hit my brakes (cold) there’s a weird grinding/whirring noise sounding like it comes from the front right ish, although this may not be the case. The second I touch the brakes this happens, and when I lift off the brakes it persists for a little bit.

I changed he front brake pads hoping it would just be them which have faded, oh how I was wrong, I still have the problem, I’m sure it’s not just bedding in. When the car is cold it happens almost the second I go anywhere near the peddle, however I found that as I was driving about for a while as the brakes were getting warmer they were becoming normal.

Is this just bedding in and me being stupid or is it something more serious, because like I said it was there before I changed the pads on the front, I have the car booked in on Wednesday but would be nice to know if I’m heading into apricey known fix. My only other though is if it is perhaps he rear pads but I honestly really don’t think it is.

Many thanks

I had a similar problem all being on my harley and it turned out my disc was warped and rhe sound carried on for a bit till the pads had fully realised just a thought worth checking

Also when breakung bearings are under extra stress and could also have this effect although they would continue to get worse you could try packing them with a good grease and see what happens although not a fix it would change the sound letting uou now if its the problem or not

I have the same on my work van. Been like it for a couple of years now. It's only the first time I use the brakes and has no effect on the braking at all.

That’s what I’m hoping it’s not the most haha, that’s what I was thinking but how come once they’re heated up the problem no longer exists?

Couldnt say m8 like i said it was on my bike and might not be just giving you ideas also as parts get hot and expand they will loosen up and in some cases bend slightly so could start off slightly warped just a thought have you tried jacking up the car spinning the wheel while cold see if it goes tight in one spot then try warm .

[UPDATE] the problem disappeared for a while so I thought huh maybe it’s just bedding in or something but it came back in vehence today, I looked at the front right disc and noticed like a dent on the surface of the disc I am 99% sure that this is what is causing it so I’m getting new discs [emoji389][emoji389]
