Guys, I don't have a Z at the moment but I do have a Honda CB750K.

I've had it a while and I'm basically recommissioning it, it's a lovely bike.

So whilst checking electrics and valve clearances I've come across a strange problem - when I operate the indicators the spark plugs fire!

The plugs are out whilst turning the engine over for valve adjustment.

I've double checked everything and I'm coming to the conclusion that because the battery is in a low state of charge the voltage is affected by the indicators (seen it on a meter) and that this is sufficient to cause the coils to produce a secondary voltage in time with the indicators!!!

The bike has aftermarket electronic ignition and the spark is really strong.

If it's not this then I'm stumped atm.

I'm charging the battery now to see if that makes a difference.
