Various questions on interior

Possibly getting a bit ahead of myself here as I likely won't even see the car until July.. but just thinking about some of the interior jobs I'll be doing and wanting to get some advice.

But here's a pic of the inside of the 280 I'm buying from Mike, so you can see why I'm thinking ahead about getting the interior done! 😂 I've ordered the seat kits from MSA, and brand new door cards (which I've learned are actually Hung Vu's door cards that they buy from him). But the rest will be up to me...

1. Carpets - Heard good things about Romas Tamulis' carpets. Has anyone here bought them? He doesn't seem to have a website or any kind of listings/photos. Was planning on just getting floor carpets and rear deck. Transmission tunnel and strut towers I will try to make myself from diamond vinyl.

2. Headliner - I've read its possible to do this without removing the windscreen - but has anyone done it? Also, is the headliner made of something fairly solid like the stuff the door cards are made from or is it just a thick piece of foam? Do you think it'll be possible to remove the existing headliner, remove the awful gold velour, and then reupholster the existing headliner 'card' or foam if it exists? Or is it likely to be destroyed when removing it? I'm really hoping the trim around the A pillar and surrounding the headliner is the original black vinyl and not this nasty brown leather or pleather as that looks tricky to do!

3. Painting floors - Mike has already wire-wheeled all the surface rust that was on the floors, and painted with a combination of POR15 and POR15 silver which I gather are the same just different colour. So I'm thinking to finish, maybe paint the whole floor in another coat of POR15 Silver (as the car is silver) and then try and get a match for the OEM silver paint as a final coat. Does that sound like a plan?

Where do I get the nissan silver metallic paint from? Its code 306 metallic silver.

4. Sound deadening - Then I was planning to apply bitumen type sound deadening (likely Dodomat or similar) & the thicker foam stuff. Does the latter just lay on top or do you stick that to the silver stuff? And what about the doors - as mentioned I've bought new door cards, but was also planning to add sound deadening to the door panels too. Is there much access to the outer door panel from the inside though? Presuming you'd have to cut the plastic vapor barrier away and replace that too?

The headlining wraps around the seam in the windscreen, so I can't see how you could replace it without taking the screen out.
A good windscreen fitter can take it out/put it in in less than an hour, and assuming the rubber is in good condition, removal doesn't need to be destructive.
I think the headlining is just the fabric over some soft thin foam, but I could be wrong - I've never needed to do it.

Ah, really? The thread I found seemed to suggest it is possible?: https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/34514-headliner-replacement-72-240z/

But yeah I guess it's not a big deal to get the windscreen removed and re-fitted. I'll need to replace the rubber for sure either way as it'll likely be done for.

Well, there are some reasonably knowledgeable and experienced people in that thread, so I'll bow to it. But as you say, given how easy it is to take the screen out....

Ok that's not bad, thanks. I would only want those 3 too as I'm going to be doing the rest in vinyl as well.
