urgent mass mail help

Thought we had worked out an easy way to send out a mass email to all members who have registered here and have agreed to allow emails by the admins to be sent to them (ie by not clicking the relevent refusal button in the user cp section)

but can't do it through Outlook Express because all the email addresses will be shown at the top of the email

Does any PC guru here know how to overcome this ?

cut the addresses out of the cc bit and put them into the bcc (blind copy) bit.

So send yourself the email but with everyone's address as a bcc.

You can set up a "mailing group" in Outlook express

At the top of the page in express go to "tools" then "address book"

in "address book" go to "file" then "new group" create one called say "Z club members" then add all of the relevant emails in there and save it

This can then be "picked" from the contacts list and mail directly without the long list appearing in the "to" section" it can be administered so that names can be added or removed

Yes indeedy Mr Gio the BCC doesnt carry over the email addresses unlike the CC option
