Can anyone tell me what this switch is for on my 280Z?

What does that knob do on the right - looks like something off a cooker?

Could the aftermarket switch be for the reverse lights - maybe the gearbox switch has failed? Spot lights?

Does it actually draw power - at night if you have the lights on (engine not running) and then operate the switch do they flicker or dim? Any difference with ign on or off?

Mine has something similar which is wired into an electronic aerial. It's an aftermarket addition so short of trying it and seeing what happens, or tracing the wires, we'll be shooting in the dark!

Didn't we once decide that these switches were for the optional ejector seat?

Had to be fitted in conjunction with the sunroof, so not very popular

Thanks guys, I believe it’s the aerial but it doesn’t have a power one now so of no use whatsoever
