Have to say, I prefer the darker dashes rather than the false wood.........

Me too - will have to think of something to change mine.

Saw the car again yesterday (found an excuse to be near the garage) and the seats, centre console and dash point to it being a GT. Next stage is to photograph it and the chassis plate.

Owner contacted me....and said that he wanted to restore it for his son but if things changed, he'd re-contact me - he lives 30 mins away !

I don't think that he'll get it restored either by himself or elsewhere and I think 'kids' of 18-20 are more attracted by GTis and over here by diesels than a old Celica - we'll see.
The garage guy said that the car wasn't too bad underneath - just the sills a tad and the door bottoms.

Wait and see but don't hold your breath.:eek:
