I'm not sure - the mate who sent me the pics of the Z mentioned earlier was there in his 450SL I think. and he is nudging mid-50s now. My wife loves these SLs, in a Victoria Principal-Dallas moment. I think you should be into three figs personally!

We settled on around 75 unless you are a retired solicitor type from Surrey This one a 380SL but US spec. with euro bumper swap. Must be the most de-tuned underpowered V8 ever driven, a supreme ‘waft’mobile.

Looks like a great turnout, real shame about the clash with Goodwood :(

Talking of cars for gentlemen of more mature years, what age do you have to be to drive this ? (cue the comedians). With some sunny weather forecast and her indoors suffering with a dodgy shoulder, decided to nip over to Britanny/Normandy for a few days and take this beautiful old SL instead of the Z. Still a young in outlook 50 something, like Timothy, I definitely don’t feel old enough to be driving this yet.

I didn't realise people who owned or drove those cars were even still alive?! :p:EXTRAlol:

Funny how certain cars attract certain demographics, my dad is considered a youngster with his Healey while he's in his late 50's. I don't see them as a more mature persons car but the ownership demographic tells an entirely different story! Never been a fan of those merc's myself but always been more of a modified sports car/fast road/racecar kinda guy....

Not sure if age is the question here Chris, more so how early dementia has set in....

How very rude Timothy :p
At the end of the week I have become rather fond of the old girl.
Unbelievably seemed to attract more attention, thumbs up and likes from native Frenchies than any Z previously has (or maybe I was just going slow enough to notice for once ;))
