I love it, and I love the grille too!

The best thing are the details: Manual gearbox and real exhaust pipes (this is a pet peeve of mine.... I hate the fake exhaust tips...)

The only thing I don't like is a digital gauge cluster. I want real gauges!!

I wonder how the Nismo will be.

Seriously tempted in buying one

It's similar to the jag F Type to me.

The 'black hole' is what an S30 looks like with no bumper - so ok I reckon.

I love it's simplicity.

Isn't it the EU 'fleet' rules that are likely the problem? - The car itself may be compliant, but Nissan don't want to increase the efficiency of all the other cars just so they can sell this one.

Yes its done as an average. so with more leafs blowing down the road, this could become a possibility.

However I doubt it, they just wouldn't sell enough. everyone raved about the gt86, they sold a handful. Given the financial situation of Nissan and their parent company...........

I really like it, seems to be having quite a lot of negative feedback on social media but I think it does a good job to honour the original and could be a nice breathe of fresh air compared to the modern big and heavy stuff. Shame it’s not coming to the UK though :(

It's in a discussion on to where it will be available somebody related to Nissan said. Cost about £1200 to £1500 make a model report for the R35 GTR then £500 to hire it not sure how the Euro 6 makes this different today. It's likely a couple of tuning shops like Litchfield's will do this to sell the cars here like they tried to for R35. Nissan sent letters to them to desist but that was then the exchange rate was good and they were planning to sell R35 GTR cars here. Might not care today.

The first model, as it was guessed, is 3lt Turbo, rear-wheel, drive manual and 400BHP

I have a feeling it will still be big and heavy. I've heard it's the same chassis as the 370z which wasn't exactly a lightweight.

No 'Certificate Of Conformity' would be a problem, I believe?

completely correct, it'd be a long wait for the age cut off also.

It would have to be modified to hit current NOX/co2 levels, that might be the issue

I was thinking more about the grey imports - not sure if they have to conform to the fleet rules, just the individual car ones.

You can take it through IVA, however given the emissions targets it'll be more hassle than its worth i'd guess. you could though if you were so inclined.

The emissions targets for IVA seem to be just the same as the MOT emissions test - not that onerous for a new car, surely?

They are when they're set for the year the cars built, it might not pass tests with whatever software its running, could need tweaking and/or exhaust stuff changing.
