The most complete and original 280Z.....

I said 'as far as I know' before making that flippant observation so I stand to be corrected. I hadn't been interested enough to even bother looking at the website.

Anyone opens up an advert with the bold claim this 'has to be the most complete and original Z car we have ever seen' and then presents that 280Z cannot be taken seriously in my book and deserves any ridicule coming their way.

Re-paint ? The first and most important thing an 'original' car should have is 'original paint' and any sensible buyer would want to see before and after pictures on a fresh re-paint.

Ah well Warren, console yourself with the fact you paid over £10k less for a genuinely 'original' example ;)

280Z/HLS30 will never be worth as much as a 240Z/HLS30 in 'like for like' condition so get customising without any guilt EXTRA:D

All reassuring and I know I got a complete bargain, absolutely love the thing! No regrets at all.

Hi,

new member here. I bought this car in January.

I think the car is in really good shape for being unrestored. I personally don't care about the things you have pointed out as unoriginal. My plan is to have a car I can use in the summer, and a lot of things will be changed on it on the mechanical side. The nice things is that there are some really cool original details like the first aid kit etc.

I haggled some as well and I think the price was totally ok for what it is.

The dealer was great, he sent me 150 pictures of the car, in great detail. A lot of the photos from before, during, and after the respray. The car has very little rust, the only spots where two bubbles on the sill, where you expect. It looks flawless now after the respray, so I think it's something that can be looked at after a few years.

I can highly recommend buying from that dealer. Very helpful and they also shipped the car to me in Sweden without hassle.

Thanks a lot!

I think there is a lot of value in buying something that is usable as well. This car was basically ready to just enjoy. It's been maintained, but there are room for improvement for sure.

The weather is still terrible here, but I can't wait for spring.
