tech section not showing

Just been trying to get the Technical Section to show on Firefox.

I thought it was the old "clear the cache" problem as it was displaying in IE6, but I was wrong (again!)

It seems that when I opened IE6 I did not bother logging on so got the default theme (Classic). I normally use Hill Climb on FF and when I checked it appears that it only shows if you are using the Classic theme.

I have no idea why it does this or if it is just on my machine-I suppose I had better check and see if the lappy does the same. Computers don't you just love em!

Thanks for pointing this out - I'll take the blame on this one - I only changed one of the themes to check what was causing the issue. I will rectify this in the morning.

Cheers,

It was showing for me in "classic"
I checked the other themes and it was not visible, and when got back to classic it gone again.

I can't figure it out from the ACP.

Showing for me in the classic theme
Strange that it seems to come and go even in the one theme that it almost works in

I don't have full access any more. That's why I can't find anything. I only have moderator status so I can't edit any of the themes etc. I wondered why it looked sparse in there.

Now sorted on all themes :) Jak I've sorted out your admin rights now - if you have a look at the FORUMHOME template and find the &tabcat[]=xx parts, the xx is the id of the forum category that you want to show under that 'tab'. Took me a while to realise why they weren't showing but got there in the end :)

Cheers,

Andy

Can those who were having problems seeing the new technical section please confirm that they can now see them ok?

Just tried in IE6 and FF 3.5.16 and seems to be working on all themes except...

The 370Z theme doesn't seem to be working as it tries to find a web page and then comes up with server not found.

Not a problem for me as I usually use Hill Climb. Another "feature" of the site:)

I am glad some one knows how to fix things as I would be adopting the press a button and hope approach!

Just tried 370Z theme and it still seems to be broken :(

Unless it's just me of course...

So this issue was a style sheet coding problem as opposed to the admin control panel?? makes sense now.

Seems to be working now mate.

Yep, absolutely :) The tabbed forum plugin means that you have to specify which forums are visible on each 'tab' (ZClub/370Z). Even though the forums were created, the themes weren't specified to display them.
