Stone chip or just Wax(Dynax UB)

After laying under the car the other day to replace a clutch slave cylinder, i noticed a few areas on the chassis rails that are scuffed, fu**ing speed bumps!
that are starting to rust, also the front floor pans that rise up as part of the under wing area have a light surface rust in some areas.

The current stone chip doesnt appear to of been applied very thickly when the under side was restored, but that was approx 15yrs ago now to be fair.

I was planning on painting with FE-123 or Bilt Hammer Hydrate 80, then some fresh stone chip and then wax, probably Dynax UB.
Or shall i skip the stone chip and just go straight over the rust converter with the wax, bearing in mind the car barely does 500 miles a year, so muck thrown up from the tyres is minimal to non existent, its not used in the wet where possible.

Im thinking though that the lower chassis rail sections would benefit from the stone chip
