Steering rack grease?

Chaps and chapesses,

Now I am in possession of my boots, I was wondering if I should use EP1 or EP2 lithium grease on the rack or is there a preferred / recommended lubricant for this purpose?

I am doing this soon on my rack, and would be interested to know if you found what the preferred option is?

I didn’t chap, but I went with EP2 in the end - seemed to go in easy enough and less runny than EP1 when warm.

I used EP2 also. I have no complaints so far.
