The speedo has stopped working on my 1978 260Z. The needle had been wobbling a bit around 10-20mph then used to settle when I got to 30mph. Now it has stopped working all together. Is this just a case of a new cable, and are they available? Will be giving Mike Feeney a call tomorrow!

Three possibilitys, 1) The cable is broken 2) The speedo is duff 3) The plastic drive in the gearbox is stripped.
Disconnect the speedo end of the cable first and try and turn the end of the cable with your fingers, you should'nt be able to. If you can it's most likely a broken cable. Not known of a stripped gearbox drive but there's always a first time.
