I have just heard that Peter Seward has recently passed away. I got the news from his wife Margaret earlier this morning.
Peter was a such a lovely man, and he and Margaret came to every Donington event that I organised from the very beginning. His enthusiasm for the cars and the event were always a highlight of the weekend for me. He was always one of the last to leave in an evening squeezing as much out of the motorsport as he could.
We last spoke in September when his car was up for auction, and whilst he did say he hadn't been well he was upbeat and optimistic of getting back to events next year.
Very sad.
